I specialize in proofreading for court reporters, but I love taking my red pen to anything!
Proofreading legal transcripts is my bread and butter. If you’re a court reporter who wants to ensure you’re turning in your best work, I’m your gal!
I go over every transcript carefully and completely, looking for those little things that make a big difference. I’m not just looking for punctuation errors and misspellings; I want to make sure the transcript is as clear and as accurate as possible. To me, readability and consistency are the twin pillars of an excellent transcript. Rules are fine, but I’ll always treat your preferences as the ultimate authority. I have a lovely preference sheet that I use to make sure I know which reporter prefers which formatting peculiarities.
After sending me your transcript, you’ll receive back a PDF file of all the annotated pages within two business days. Need something sooner? I’m available for rush jobs, too!
Blog posts, articles, and other online content
Want me to proofread your work before you send it out to the great wide Internet? No problem! I hate seeing blog posts and online articles get posted with glaring errors, so I’m happy to help you avoid those pitfalls. I’ll also read for clarity and flow, so in addition to punctuation and grammar corrections you’ll also get suggestions for improving the overall readability of your work.
Books, ebooks, theses, and other long-form works
They say you should always put your best foot forward, so why not let me give you a metaphorical shoe shine before you submit your project for publishing? You bring the content and I’ll bring the red pen.
